The Daffodil Festival, held on Sunday 15 April 2007 at Newnham Paddox in Warwickshire, was a resounding success. The weather was glorious, and young and old alike enjoyed the free eco-arts workshops which were dotted around the beautiful grounds of Newnham. The Daffodil Festival is a resurrection of Daffodil Sunday, which has been held on the estate at Newnham for over 200 years. The current Earl of Denbigh, Alex, and his wife Suzy are keen to see the estate enjoyed by as many people as possible. The festival was organised by E4C, Newnham Paddox and Friends of the Revel Churches. The proceeds from the festival have gone to the Friends of the Revel Churches which cover the six parishes surrounding Newnham. This will benefit the wider community. There are many photographs from the festival which can be found at the following links:http://www.pbase.com/pawsforthought/e4c_2007&view=slideshowhttp://www.flickr.com/photos/luperca/sets/72157600086110132/show/The organisers would like to thank everyone who helped to make the festival successful, including artists, exhibitors, retailers, caterers and service providers. A huge thank you to all the volunteers who gave their time freely and enthusiastically. And thank you to all the visitors.
